We did it! A dozen family pictures, one from every month this year. I'm excited to start brainstorming for next year.
As for December, it was the quickest month this year. I think that has to do with feeling behind the whole darn month. We got all Christmas presents made and sent on time though, so that's a plus. It was a pretty light crafting Christmas for me. I didn't make a Christmas treat for people, or an ornament. I didn't even make anything for Scarlett, but I do have her quilt all mapped out now. We decorated, but not the usual fanfare, just our favorite things. And I didn't spend my normal 2 hours putting lights on the tree. I fretted about copping out on Christmas this year, but I just didn't want to stress. I wanted to enjoy looking at the lights with S and not shooing her while I put them up.
Scarlett loved the snot out of Christmas. The 12 days leading up to Christmas morning our gnome Cletus left a little present for her. We didn't realize Cletus was a Christmas gnome who helped out Santa. Scarlett talked to Santa helpers at the mall twice, but that's it. No lap sitting. She loved our tree and rearranging the presents and seeing lights out the car windows. She told us Santa was coming Christmas Evening, never Christmas Eve. Every night she'd go to bed say "He's coming!"
Christmas aside S had a great month. She is understanding counting. She's played in eaten the snow the two times we've had it. She likes to bring more and more things into bed with us. There is always Woody, Buzz, Cindy Lou Who, Dossie the bear, water, binky and usually one other important person from the day. We sleep with Fred Sanford!
Another year in the books. On to snow and new habits...
