I really wanted December to be filled with holiday fun. We saw Santa at Scarlett's request (He was kind of a jerk. He told S to yell her list to the elf with the camera so they could get a good pictures. So my sweet girl was sitting there confused and yelling her simple list of a candy cane and soda to the elf. Santa never listened to her himself and when we left she told me she didn't think he heard her. Broke. My. Heart.), took a horse drawn carriage ride through downtown, taught S about the tree of sharing, took a night cruise on Lake Couer d'Alene to the North Pole where her name was read from the good list, saw living reindeer and hand made gifts. And of course our house gnome came to life the 12 days before Christmas making mischief and leaving little goodies.
Christmas morning was wonderful. S's letter must have made it to Santa because he brought her a candy cane and soda and a play kitchen! We stayed in jammies all day and played with every new toy. Many times.
On to a new year...
